There is a trifecta of neighborhood bars (Yellow Moon, BJ’s and Vaughns) located in the Bywater District with walls that should speak…
Vaughn’s hosts the legendary Kermit Ruffins on Thursday nights and has for the last 40 years. As the story goes, Ruffins was just a kid playing music on the street corner day after day when the owner of Vaughn’s offered him a one off gig “for Thursday night”. He’s played ever since and has continued to return and honor Vaughn’s despite his success and fame. The beauty of the culture and mountainous landscape transformed my Tokyo mindset and won me over.
Note1: Although spa robes and sandals provided are expected to be worn, one size does not fit all.
Note2: Public transit isn’t efficient without the use of elbows. Watch out for the elders, they’re smiling professionals…
I usually prefer using real people for portraits. Working with the employees of the company gave an authentic translation of hard work and loyalty to this IBEX campaign.
It was winter Wyoming oil fields at their finest- despite winds up to 60mph, temperatures below zero, and shifts around the clock, the environment was surprisingly hospitable… great people, fantastic stories, and a classic little sugar shack in Pineville.
Shooting for Orlando’s convention bureau was a unique blend of art, science and the great outdoors. We headed into full production with helicopters, astronauts, hot air balloons and cirque de soleil artists.
